The chemical manufacturer will use the ultraclean, corrosion-resistant polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) sheetlined tankers to transport high purity electronic grade process chemicals within the U.S. The first portion of the $285,000 order will ship at the end of December 2001.
"Entegris' FluoroPure(R) sheetlined products bring tremendous value to the market as indicated by this order," said Frank Sidell, Entegris Fluid Handling Group president. "Our fluoropolymer linings maintain chemical integrity and help to slow down the negative effects of permeation, while increasing the life of the tank and lowering our customers' cost of ownership. Our installed base is growing quickly as customers realize the benefits of using our fluoropolymer lined products for their ultrapure applications."
With over 35 years of experience in the microelectronics industry, Entegris is a leader in high purity chemical packaging solutions for both stationary and transport applications. Entegris also provides fluoropolymer sheetlining for vessels, tanks, bioreactors, fermenters and columns for use in the biopharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
The application of the PTFE lining is completed through the use of Entegris' proprietary process at its facility in Gaylord, Minn. Critical manufacturing steps are completed in a Class 1000 clean room environment to maximize product purity.
