As the most important industry meeting place, FENESTRATION BAU China offers an overview of the latest technologies for Asia’s rapidly growing construction industry. Key topics for the leading construction markets in the Asian region are energy efficiency and sustainable construction. These are reflected at the trade fair by the addition of new exhibition segments as well as in the supporting program and at the BAU Congress China.

From October 31 to November 3, 2018, national and international companies such as dormakaba, Hörmann, Hoppe, JUNG, Kin Long, LG Hausys and Schüco will be presenting innovations and solutions in the sectors building materials, construction IT, facades, windows, building automation, building technologies and doors in eight halls of the New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC) in Beijing.

In addition to the above, four more segments will be added to the upcoming FENESTRATION BAU China: Prefabrication Materials & Green Building, Building Chemistry, Construction Tools and Energy Efficient & Smart Solutions/BIM. Another new platform is “Future Building Networking—Made in Germany”.

With the forums “Smart Building made in Germany” and “Prefabrication Materials and Green Building made in Germany”, the event reacts to developments and new requirements of the Asian construction industry and positions itself as a driving force for the Far East.

Practice-oriented solutions tailored to the Chinese construction market

BAU Congress China (BCC) complements the exhibition portfolio of FENESTRATION BAU China. Over three days, it offers practice-oriented solutions for the Chinese construction industry. Under the central theme “The Future of Building for China”, the BCC is divided into three days with five focus topics:

“The Big Picture—Tomorrow’s Urban Design, Exemplary Projects”

“Smart Buildings—Simple Cities”

“Young Independent Architects—Human Scale Architecture”

“Future Building Technology: Energy, Process, and Building”

“Cutting Edge Super Projects for China”

First top-class national and international speakers have already confirmed their participation: Liu Wan (CAUPD/Tsinghua University Beijing), will give insights into the “Big Picture” for China. Stephan Schütz (gmp Architekten, Berlin) and Wolfgang Frey (Frey Architekten Group, Freiburg) will examine the future of building technology. Zhang Li and Sophia Bai (Team Minus, Beijing) will present the ideas that “Young Independent Architects” have for the construction industry.

BAU Congress China is organized by the architecture magazine Bauwelt.
