The Performance Calculator – developed by Guardian’s technical team as part of the Guardian Glass Analytics Software suite and freely available – calculates the light and energy performance of any Guardian® glass, either used as a single sheet or any combination of type and thickness for double and triple insulating glass units.
The Guardian Performance Calculator has been certified by the notified body KIWA for the correctness of the calculation according to EN410 and EN673.
The calculation data have been taken from certified values, to ensure the reliability of data generated for use in the design of buildings and construction works.
The Performance Calculator has a number of features and benefits. The programme has a personal space for each user, where they can create projects, store related calculations, save the results in PDF format, and share datasheets with others in their project team.
Guardian customers can use the certified calculated results to integrate in their final IGU’s Declaration of Performance made with Guardian glass.
Introducing the new Guardian Performance Calculator, Andreas Behrends, Product Performance and Certification Manager for Guardian Glass in Europe, said:
“We have offered our customers an offline version for around 14 years now – and it is recognised as an important support tool for glazing professionals. The move from offline to online is a major step forward, and the new name reflects this.
Professionals using the tool can now be sure that they access the latest data and not have to worry about fire-walls preventing automatic updates. Moreover, this new online platform will allow us to develop new functionalities in the future.”
Having the Guardian Performance Calculator available online, ensures that all data remains fully updated at all times. It replaces an earlier offline version of the programme called Guardian Configurator.
The new online Guardian Performance Calculator is available free-of-charge, following registration. Please visit www.sunguardglass.com for more information.
