Get connected to GED automation, robotics and software.

In addition to sponsoring the 17th annual GlassBuild America trade show in Atlanta, GA September 17-19, GED Integrated Solutions (GED) will be showcasing highly-automated window and glass fabrication equipment at exhibitor booth #1935. Among the lineup of equipment is exciting new technology that will change the way window and door fabricators do business.

NEW! RoboFlow™ PT

NEW! RoboFlow™ PTThe RoboFlow™ PT (Pass Through) is the newest member of the RoboFlow family. A completely automated robotic pass through system for vinyl window manufacturers to go from welding through cleaning and on to the next step in the production process with just one operator. Weld up to four vinyl sash at a time while four robotic cleaning heads keep your process flowing with precise cleaning and fabrication.

WinTrax™ Intelligent Logistics

WinTrax™ Intelligent LogisticsUtilizing cutting-edge RFID technology, WinTrax™ intelligent logistics system tracks window assemblies through the production process to shipment. A manufacturer can see real-time product location as window assemblies with uniquely-encoded tags pass through gateways at each production stage. The result is complete visibility of any window.

WinTrax simplifies the customer’s ability to track and quickly find window assemblies, reducing the number of lost windows and tracking reports verify where windows are and signals an alert when something is out of sequence. Using a web-based viewer, reports can be accessed on any device with an internet browser, making this system flexible and user-friendly.

RoboSeal™ Gas Fill – Close – Seal

RoboSeal™ Gas Fill – Close – SealA breakthrough in system automation from GED leverages robotic technology for an efficient, higher quality fourth corner gas fill, close and seal for IG units. GED “Robo” products provide users with precision, quality, accuracy and speed of manufacturing.

The first fully automated, robotic quick gas fill, close and seal system in the industry, RoboSeal efficiently finishes the assembly process of both double and triple pane Intercept® insulating glass units (IIGUs). With the ability to produce six (6) units / minute for double IIGU and three (3) units / minute for triple IIGU, this system handles IIGUs up to 72” by 100” with glass as thick as 6mm.

SmartExtruder+™ Sealant and Desiccant Application System

SmartExtruder+™ Sealant and Desiccant Application SystemDeliver the exact amount of sealant to the right location with quality control and tracking throughout the production shift with SmartExtruder+.

Main features include: encoder-based dispensing; new control platform with faster scan rate and response time; HMI directly coupled with PLC; servo controlled spacer width adjustment interfaced with control system; side heads with individual start/stop controls and alignment adjustment; and storage reservoir added to pneumatic circuit.

Intercept® 2.5 Spacer Fabrication System

Intercept® 2.5 Spacer Fabrication SystemProviding superior thermal performance, durability and strength, the Intercept 2.5 warm-edge spacer fabrication system makes it faster and less expensive to produce than other spacer systems.

Quickly change between multiple spacer material types, including Intercept ULTRA Stainless, ThinPlate and BlackLine, with the capability to produce spacers at a rate of up to 85 feet per minute, achieving up to 8 spacers a minute (without muntins).

Not only does the 2.5 allow for “Just-in-Time” production in the order required without operator errors, it also eliminates internal muntin grid misalignment with precise notching and snap-in muntin clips.

The control system provides significant hardware reduction, making operations and maintenance trouble-free. A new laser marking system enables customized spacer etching. Patented technology ensures the integrity of the 4th corner identical to first 3 corners, for a consistent product.
