The new Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, designated by Condé Nast’s Traveler Magazine as ‘one of the best hotels in the world’, takes advantage of the same space that once occupied the hotel Playa Real, literally on the sand of the beach of Talamanca.
The project involves Marbella Club, Puente Romano, London Bridge and Nobu Hospitality, the brand created by chef Nobu Matsushisa, actor and investor Robert de Niro, and producer Meier Teper. The reform, which lasted two years, was led by the renowned architect Alvaro Sans and his Arquilab Team , specialists in large hotel projects.
The result has been a much brighter and wider establishment. The new hotel has now 152 rooms and 11 luxury suites - many interconnected to facilitate families accommodations - reflecting the Nobu philosophy of relaxed and natural environments, without ever losing sight of the demand level and the luxury that should characterize a hotel of this category.
A calm Balearic style.
Just like the rest of Alvaro Sans hotel projects Alvaro Sans, theNobu Hotel Ibiza Bay adapts to the environment where it is located. In this case, the colors and the Mediterranean silhouettes of the Balearic architecture.
The interior highlights a balance in shades of white, gold and blue, and the use of soft materials such as wood, glass or handmade ceramics.
The large openings from floor to ceiling and the diaphanous terraces communicate the natural environment of the Talamanca beach with the spaces enjoyed by guests and workers of the new hotel. The Mediterranean is visible from all the rooms and almost all of the common areas, filling the spaces with warm light and natural tones.
Design, security and ease of installation.
The glass railings systems chosen for the project, in this case GlassFit SV-1301 and GlassFit CC-775 from Comenza , contribute decisively to this relaxed, natural and spontaneous way of life, thanks to its minimalist and elegant design.
They are a perfect match, both to the interior decoration of the hotel, and to the architectural style that the team of Alvaro Sans has given to the new establishment, that marks the new benchmark for luxury tourism on the island of Ibiza.
The transparency of the glass opens the rooms and common spaces, and floods them with natural light, giving continuity to the landscape inside the hotel.
Comenza GlassFit systems have been tested according to the British (BS-6180), French (CSTB) and Spanish (CTE) standards, which makes them fit for any hotel, residential or commercial project.
Comenza GlassFit SV-1301 and GlassFit CC-775 systems are also renowned by their ease of installation. That, combined with the support of the Comenza Technical Office during the development of the project, has contributed to the success of the work.
Comenza, reference brand for hotel railing projects.
