Creating comfortable spaces has just been made easier - SunGuard® SN29/18 solar protection glass

Date: 4 November 2013

At the forefront of innovative architectural glass solutions, Guardian Industries introduces in Europe and the Middle East the SunGuard® SN 29/18.

It is a new series of our SuperNeutral glass, specifically developed for skylights and facades. The SunGuard SN29/18 strongly helps to reduce the heat gain from the sun, without blocking all the daylight.

Without the sun, our world could not exist – it gives off heat and light to support all living things. However if your building is exposed to direct and intense sun light, it is not always easy to find the right architectural solution. How can buildings withstand strong solar exposure without investing in expensive cooling systems or sacrificing the comfort of building inhabitants?

Guardian SunGuard® SN 29/18 helps to manage the climate inside your building by making it easier to create a comfortable environment inside. Even if the sun outside is extremely strong or the light is too intense, only 18% of the heat is entering the building. At the same time 29% of the light is allowed to pass, hence the name SunGuard SN 29/18. The latest addition to the SunGuard SuperNeutral product range, SN 29/18 is available from the 1st of November 2013 in Europe and the Middle East.

Providing high solar protection, the SunGuard SN29/18 glass is ideal for overhead architectural glazing projects and for countries with large solar exposure like Scandinavian or Middle East regions. This high selective glass with a neutral blue appearance can help create a state-of-the-art façade solution. Design a modern appearance that features intelligent heat protection.

Solar protection in buildings is a great solution in minimizing the energy used for cooling. Reducing the unnecessary increase of the inside temperature is the key to success. With a relative high light transmission of 29%, natural light can be used to its highest advantage. SunGuard SN 29/18 is ideally suited for applications that include skylights, south side facing façades, buildings with large window to wall-ratio, rooftops and more.
