As you know RIBA requires that architects who hold RIBA membership must undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) modules to keep their membership up to date.
As Comar have taken the step of working closely with RIBA to approve the content of this seminar, Architects can claim double CPD points. This seminar is also part of RIBA’s Core Curriculum. Every day, Comar’s Project Managers present these seminars in architectural practices throughout the country which shows our commitment to training our architectural partners and raising technical competence across the industry.
The seminar broaches the following topics and is a must see for any of our fabricator partners who are involved in the design and installation of entrances and aims to cover:
- How building type & location affect the entrance design
- Door types & applications including the advantages/disadvantages
- Requirements whichshould be considered during design stage
- User type and access requirements
- Doc L: Thermal performance requirements
- Doc M: The external approach (ramped access)
- Doc N: Glazing requirements
- Automated systems and best practices
This seminar will be presented by Darren Peel, Comar’s National Business Development Manager. Darren has been involved in the industry for almost fifteen years. Starting at TPG as a Project Manager working with architects on specifications and coordinating communications between fabricators and main contractors, Darren now runs the BDM team as National Business Development Manager, providing new product information to our fabrication partners.
