The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) was awarded the 2011 Fenestration Humanitarian Award by World Vision at the AAMA 75th Annual Conference held in Naples, FL, February 26-29.

AAMA was honored for their investment in World Vision and commitment to make a transformational difference across the U.S.

“It was truly an honor to receive the Fenestration Humanitarian Award,” says Rich Walker, AAMA President and CEO. “We are honored to support World Vision, and I commend our members for donating windows and doors in order to help those in need.”

“Through AAMA, World Vision has cultivated relationships with window and door manufacturers and suppliers resulting in building material donations to help families in need nationwide,” added Mary Garcia, World Vision Corporate Relations Director. “It was my pleasure to present AAMA with the award.”

Also during the conference, AAMA members sponsored 250 World Vision SchoolTools backpacks, at a total cost of $5,500, to benefit at-risk Florida children.

More information about AAMA and its activities can be found via the AAMA Media Relations page or on the AAMA website, www.aamanet.org.
