Established in 2012, Upstate Glass Tempering has become a premier tempered glass and laminated glass supplier in the Northeastern United States and beyond. With such a meteoric rise in only a decade, we decided to ask Allen Gottlieb, General Manager of Upstate Glass Tempering, for his thoughts on the success of the company. The first question is obvious:“Mr. Gottlieb, how did this happen? What is your secret?”
“There are no secrets and no shortcuts. Everyone at Upstate Glass Tempering shares a passion for glass and a passion for helping people. Additionally, we choose our manufacturing partners carefully.”
Can you give us an example? “We have numerous pieces of manufacturing machinery, but as a glass tempering facility the most crucial piece of equipment is the glass tempering furnace. Our tempering furnace must provide steady and reliable quality and quantity, every day. Mappi was the obvious choice.”
Which tempering furnace did you choose, and why? “We chose the Mappi ATS-J, 2500x6000 which is the largest model in Mappi’s offering, able to temper glass up to 3300x6000. Despite its size, the furnace manages keep energy consumption to a minimum using the latest technologies, exclusive to Mappi.”
Surely many furnace manufacturers offer comparable products. What makes Mappi stand out above the rest?
“Mappi was the right choice for us because they mirror the core values of Upstate Glass Tempering: a commitment to superior quality and unparalleled support and service. Nancy and the entire Mappi staff provide an unmatched level of personal attention, and our business relationship has become a friendship as well. Our customers trust us, and we know that we can trust Mappi.”
