Vitrum, the international trade fair specialized in machinery, equipment and plants for flat glass processing was held from 5 to 8 October in Milan. Turomas, a Spanish machinery manufacturer, participated as an exhibitor after two years without trade fair activity.
The biannual meeting was the first post-pandemic trade fair for the European glass sector. After this isolation, Vitrum has been in charge of bringing customers and suppliers back to the market quickly, safely and efficiently. A meeting point, where the reality of the sector and the challenges it will face in the coming year were staged.
TUROMAS was represented by Antonio Ortega, General Manager; Álvaro Tomas, Vice President of TUROMAS, Alvaro Doñate, Sales Director for Spain and Portugal; Oriol Llorens, Sales Director for Europe and Teresa Catalán, Marketing Manager.
Visitors who came to the stand had the opportunity to learn more about the complete range of standardised machinery for monolithic glass, laminated glass or smart storage, as well as the customised solutions that TUROMAS offers.
In particular, the exhibition allowed the Spanish company to present the advances and innovations it has developed in the last year: the new generation of decoating systems and the new model of loading and cutting table for 6-metre glass – RUBI 406VA.
The majority of visitors came from European countries. In particular, the most noteworthy projects and meetings came from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Portugal, Spain, Russia, Ukraine, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and France, although there was also representation from South Africa.
The participation of the company in the international exhibition was rewarding and profitable. Despite being the first on site trade fair, the sales team was satisfied with the attendance and response at the fair, given that the influx of visitors was controlled, but high-quality.
Vitrum 2021 has served to confirm that, in spite of the stoppage produced by the COVID, the companies of the sector will continue to bet on this physical event format. They have been and will continue to be an essential part of the business that provides a great commercial showcase, as well as offering a high international impact.
