Vidres Ponent renews the process of storage, loading and cutting of glass with TUROMAS technology, optimizing the storage capacity in more than 1000m2.

Vidres Ponent, S.L., founded in 1992 in Torrefarrera, Lleida, is a company specialized in the manufacture and transformation of flat glass for construction and architecture. Over more than three decades, it has consolidated its presence in the market, standing out for its commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability.

With the aim of optimising operational efficiency and increasing production capacity, Vidres Ponent has made a significant investment in TUROMAS machinery. Specifically, it has installed an LA-06 overhead loader type smart storage system together with two SC-06 automatic sorters with a total capacity of 576 Tn distributed in 76 positions. With regard to cutting, two cutting lines have been installed, one for monolithic glass RUBI 303C and a mixed line for laminated glass consisting of a RUBI 306TC+LAM304.

“At Vidres Ponent, we are particularly concerned about productivity and the improvement of our processes. In our obsession to improve the production chain and reorganization of the factory, we came up with the need to contact TUROMAS to materialize our Project”

TUROMAS Interview with Vidres Ponent

What is Vidres Ponent, S.L.?

Vidres Ponent, S.L. is a company specializing in the manufacturing and processing of glass for construction and architecture. Founded in 1992, it has evolved over the years, overcoming significant challenges such as the 2008 crisis and the 2020 pandemic, establishing itself as a benchmark in quality, technology, and innovation in the glass industry.

Our vision is clear: to offer high-quality products with a close and efficient service. We strive for excellence in every process, from raw material selection to manufacturing and post-sale support. We believe in the sustainability of glass as a recyclable and infinite material, and we work with Guardian Glass to ensure top-tier quality standards.

At Vidres Ponent, innovation and customer care are fundamental pillars. We stand out by offering glass with a black spacer profile as standard, with no additional costs, ensuring better aesthetics and thermal efficiency. Additionally, we prioritize transparency and trust with our customers, providing personalized service every step of the way.

Today, Vidres Ponent continues to grow with the same essence it had at the beginning: caring for people, the team, and our customers, because we know that together, we can continue building a solid and bright future.

What led to the need for new TUROMAS cutting machines?

At Vidres Ponent, we are especially concerned with productivity and improving our processes. In our pursuit to enhance the production chain and reorganize the factory, we realized the need to contact TUROMAS to bring our project to life.

TUROMAS provides the precise machines that enable work efficiency and time savings. They are high-performance machines that perfectly meet our needs

Which TUROMAS machines have been installed? Why are these the best machines for Vidres Ponent, S.L.? What stands out about them?

At Vidres Ponent, we use three types of TUROMAS machines:

1. LA-06 Smart Loader:

Allows significant time savings in the process of loading glass sheets onto the cutting tables, optimising production and reducing downtime.

We highlight its organisational capacity, managing to store more material in less space. Specifically, we have managed to reduce the surface area for storage by 1,000 square metres thanks to the installation of two SC-06 automatic sorters with a total capacity of 576 Tn Jumbo divided into 76 positions (56 units x 190 mm and 20 units x 350 mm).

Their integration together with the LA-06 loader has made it possible to increase the productivity of the cutting table, optimising the process and reducing handling times.

2. RUBI 303C monolithic cutting table

One of the fastest on the market for cutting small sheets of glass. It incorporates honeycomb belts for automatic evacuation and loading of the glass and a pickling system for glass with a Low E coating.

3. Mixed line RUBI 306TC with LAM 304

Cutting line for jumbo monolithic glass with a cutting bridge for laminated glass. Both cutting bridges are equipped with a pickling system for Low E glass.

Their national manufacture is an added value for us, as we are committed to supporting companies that, like ours, operate in the country.
