Taper-Loc X1 Glass Railing System for laminated glass, and the new 9B Base Shoe from C.R. Laurence are specifically designed to meet the new IBC 2015 code changes for glass guardrails, and receive International Code Council-ES approval.

The 9B shoe is 30 percent lighter than traditional base shoes while retaining the industry standard profile and exceeding code requirements, CRL officials report.The Taper-Loc’s reinforced polycarbonate isolator and dry glaze system work together for faster installation. Designed for interior or exterior applications, the system’s tapers can be installed, removed, and reinstalled as often as needed. CRL’s 9B Base Shoe is suitable for I/af-inch, AA/af-inch, and BG/cb-inch laminated tempered glass.
