Smartglass Project Focus-East Wintergarden

Smartglass International were approached to create a modern, minimalist entrance to compliment the striking architecture, preserve natural light and deliver privacy on demand. A combination of revolving and double doors were fitted with individually controlled, toughened panels of this innovative material creating a bespoke entrance to this prestigious venue and providing planners with a stylish and sophisticated means of tailoring privacy levels for each event. In its opaque state Smartglass also works as a high-contrast rear projection screen.This additional functionality allows organisers to further customise the space by projecting images and event branding onto the entrance.

The exquisite finish of this multifunctional and modern material perfectly complements the clean, minimalist lines of this unique structure.

The modern and stylish venue, designed by Cesar Pelli and based on the Wintergardens in New York, boasts 682 sq meters of coloured marble floor and steamed beech wood panelling and accommodates up to 500 for banqueting and 800 – 1000 for receptions.
