Both products have been formulated using a unique Fortified Polymer Technology that promotes rapid strength build-up during AGR windshield installations. An independent lab has successfully performed FMVSS 212 / 208 crash tests with SikaTack® MACH 30 and SikaTack® MACH 60. These crash tests are critical to Sika’s endeavor of ensuring customer safety by validating SDAT and substantiating the superior cross-linking chemistry. Additionally, both products are All-in-One Modulus, Non-Conductive and can be applied from 0-120°F. “SikaTack® MACH 30 and SikaTack® MACH 60 continue Sika’s long established SikaTack® heritage and leadership in the AGR market. They offer superior handling characteristics and shorter, best-in-class, Safe Drive Away Times,” states Marius Mavrodin, Vice President, Aftermarket. “They also continue the well driven High Road to Safety, which includes many Industry firsts; Black Primerless to glass applications, single-use-applicator pre-treatment stix and pads, all-inclusive installer friendly Super Kits, and the first to market a one-component one hour SDAT product.”
Further, Sika also announces a product packaging modification that introduces leading edge sustainability; urethane unipack products packaged in 465ml fill volumes. Both SikaTack® MACH 30 and SikaTack® MACH 60 will be offered in 465ml unipacks. This unique packaging size covers more than 95% of the standard vehicle windshield installs required in the market, eliminating partial unipacks that end up in many cases as waste. The 465ml package is also lighter allowing for better ergonomics of the applicator gun during urethane application.
