We have continuously proved that in the regional and international markets our products remain the best choice for high-end clients. These contracts serve as a proof of the stamp of approval for our sustained quality and delivery schedules,' said Mr. Jerry Dowling, Managing Director, Emirates Glass.
The contracts in Kuwait include supply of 11,000 square meters of Emicool Classic CR14 Green glass for 14 Kuwait Finance House branches in a ceramic frit design; 5,000 square meters of Emicool Sun NN35 Blue for the KUFPEC Tower in Shuwaikh; 3,000 square meters of Emicool Classic CR14 Azurlite glass for Al Khalid Tower on Al Shaheed Street in downtown Kuwait City; 7,000 square meters of Emicool Classic SS20 Green glass for Ghanem Medical Services (GMS) Hospital in Al Jabria; and 2,000 square meters of EmiCool Classic for Rakan Tower in Kuwait City Down Town.
The other Kuwait contracts are for the supply of 2,000 square meters of Emicool Classic CR14 Blue glass for the American University Kuwait building in Al Salamiya and 4,500 square meters of Emicool Sun NN40 Azure light glass for the Amwaj Tower in Al Salamiya.
The three Qatar contracts include supply of 13,000 square meters of Emicool Sun NN35 Green glass for the Qatar Islamic Bank's Al Udaid Tower project and 9,000 square meters of Emicool Classic CR14 Blue glass for Al Huda's Doha Tower project. This product enables low indoor reflection and this is the first building in Qatar to have such state-of-the-art feature. Emirates Glass also supplied 3,000 square meters of Emicool Sun NN40 Blue glass for the landmark Qasim Darwish Fakhro Islamic Centre project.
'Emirates Glass focuses on high performance glass coatings ideally suited to extreme climates. Through our EmiCool range of products, we continuously strive to create the most cost-effective and environmentally adaptable product to suit the needs of the regional and international markets,' added Mr. Dowling.
Emirates Glass has also expanded its distribution network by appointing new agents in Iraq, Bangladesh, Jordan and Iran. In fact the company has already started delivering glass to these new areas. Besides these, the company is also delivering glass to projects in the UK and Singapore. They include the Bridge Water Place in Leeds, UK, (about 10,000 sq meters of EmiCool Sun NN-62 on Clear) and the Bio Medical Centre in Singapore (about 4,500 sq meters of EmiCool Sun NN-60 on Blue).
Emirates Glass' high-performance EmiCool, EmiCool Plus and EmiCool Sun glass types have a product code which acts as a shorthand description of the colour of the coating, the colour of the substrate glass and the nominal percentage of visible light transmittance. EmiCool's durable, transparent metallic coatings are applied directly to float glass substrates using Leybold's Magnetic Sputter Vacuum Deposit (MSVD) technology.
