Italian creditors have to report their claims by November.The company’s Ministry of Economic Development, meanwhile, aims to ensure the continuity of the industrial plant in Manfredonia, Foggia, owned by the Treviso group.The expert assigned with the task is Stefano Ambrosini, former commissioner of Alitalia, together with Luigi Fant.The commissioners reported at their last meeting that it was not possible to sell the company in its entirety and to continue Sangalli’s activities and employment.
The Governor of Puglia, Michele Emiliano, expressed “the hope that we can find a contractor who acquires Sangalli in Manfredonia to relaunch its activities.”
In 2002, when the production plant The Sangalli Vetro Manfredonia production plant started up in 2002 and makes float and laminated safety glass.
It is located in Monte Sant’Angelo and has a gross production capability of about 600 tons/day equal to 200,000 tons/year. The plant can produce both clear and coloured float glass.
Its other line is dedicated to jumbo-size laminated safety glass.
