Clayton Glass, the IGU manufacturers and pioneers behind SMARTGLASS®, have been included in the prominent third edition of London Stock Exchange’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report.

The report identifies the fastest fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) in the UK and Clayton Glass is just one of two companies from the glass processing sector to be put forward. To be included in the list, companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers, something Clayton Glass have achieved at the same time as investing in pioneering new products.

Sales for Clayton Glass in the last financial year ending December 2015, was £15million with over 160 employees and the company has recently moved into a new £multi-million facility in County Durham as they look to build further growth. Their commitment to product development has also been recently realised with the launch of SMARTGLASS®–W, the first dedicated range of glass for conservatory doors and windows and the FIT Show will see the introduction of SMARTGLASS® Dynamic, powered by SageGlass, a revolutionary switchable glass.

Ryan Green, managing director of Clayton Glass commented. ‘This is a fantastic accolade for the business, our employees and customers, along with other business partners. To be included in such esteemed company is humbling and shows we’ve got what it takes to thrive in our respective markets.

He continues: ‘We’ve also recently been voted as IGU Manufacturer of the Year 2015 in the National Fenestration Awards and so our customers fully trust and respect the way in which we carry out our business.’
