Due to increased demand of fabricated glass products and the age of the existing equipment, Aldora has ordered new equipment that will increase production speed and quality of product. Included in the purchase is a new true convection furnace capable of tempering 84” x 196” lites of glass.Thicknesses range from 1/8” to ¾” including low E soft coats. The furnace is ordered with installation slated for late third/early fourth quarter of 2015.
Branch Manager Sean Ryan states “These three key pieces of equipment will dramatically improve our ability to better serve our customers. The new furnace will provide increased product sizes as well as increased output. The convection component will help to minimize distortion in coated glass.” Ryan is also eager to have the waterjet, ”the new CNC machine will improve the quality of hole and notch fabrication with greater speed and reliability. The jumbo cutting table is a huge bonus as it will add to our production capacity.”
