The major UK hardware supplier reports strong Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) for the product as it is the only door lock on the market to offer five hook locking points. An outer locking point design, which provides two bi-directional hooks, is also a significant differentiator for fabricators and retailers as this has major end-user appeal.
With five hooks, two rollers, latch and serrations that allow for the addition of shootbolts the product offers wide-ranging appeal for standard PVCu, French master and slave residential door applications. Options with rounded end faceplates and without rollers are also provided for composite and timber doors.
Carl F Groupco’s Sales Director, Paul Simpson highlights the fit and forget appeal of Ingenious products:
“A robust design and durable lock mechanism, combined with creative R&D, is at the heart of the Ingenious organisation’s product development. The requirement for testing is 50,000 cycles but the Ingenious door lock has gone significantly beyond this, it has withstood seven times the testing specification ……. it has achieved 350,000 cycles and is still going!
“Not only does the Duplex satisfy durability standards, but it has also successfully achieved PAS 24 and Secured by Design: this means that the locks will also be suitable for projects where Document Q is required, although a specific test may be required of the full door set.”
The Duplex sits alongside Ingenious’ Professional dual spindle door lock series, which features three hooks, two rollers, latch and serrations. Carl F Groupco stocks the full Ingenious door lock range and provides full sales and technical support.
