Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Glass) has launched VitroGlassHub.com, a website designed exclusively for glass customers and glass industry professionals.
The new site provides direct access to technical documents, material safety data sheets (MSDS) and tools for energy modeling and thermal stress analysis, as well as the Vitro Glass CONSTRUCT tool, which enables users to construct virtual glass units, then compare their appearance and performance using data from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) International Glazing Database (IGDB).
VitroGlassHub.com also links users directly to Vitro GlassNET, the company’s online order entry, inventory review and shipment tracking system for clear, tinted and coated glass products.
There also is a log-in page for members of the Vitro Certified™ network and contact information for Vitro Glass sales representatives that visitors can access by clicking their location on an interactive map of North America and the Caribbean Islands.
Robert J. Struble, manager, brand and communications, Vitro Architectural Glass, said VitroGlassHub.com was created at the request of glass customers and glass industry professionals.
“The informational needs of these customers are different from those of architects, specifiers, designers and homeowners,” he said. “By collecting tools and information available on our other digital properties and relocating them to a dedicated site, we’ve created an online resource that makes it easier for our customers to serve their customers.”
VitroGlassHub.com also features a drop-down menu with links to specialty products such as Starphire Ultra-Clear® glass and Clarvista® shower glass, as well as trademark and logo usage guides, the Vitro Glass Education Center and general details about the company.
