Site selection has been narrowed down to three existing plant properties in the Carolinas with each facility featuring over 160,000 square feet of floor space. The new location will accommodate up to 30 extrusion lines and will also include manufacturing support, value added services, offices and warehouse space.
Joe Peilert, VEKA’s North American President comments: “In 2015, we surpassed our pre-recession sales and production levels. We made strategic investments at all three North American facilities to accommodate our growth. Utilizing new and exclusive extrusion technology, we are continuing to add capacity to our existing sites in Fombell, PA, Reno, NV and Terrell, TX. Based on our strong outlook long term, we have decided to add a fourth extrusion location scheduled to open in 2018 to support continued existing and new customer growth.” Peilert attributes VEKA’s success to its Crystal Achievement Award winning Essentials® service platform. “Our design solutions, delivery performance and services have enabled our customers to gain market share. We are grateful that they have chosen us as their Partner of Choice for growth.”
In addition, VEKA is excited to announce a major step in becoming a market leader in Latin America. VEKA’s South and North American companies are cooperating to create a new level of service and product selection.
Part of this effort is the establishment of a warehouse and logistics center in Mexico during the fourth quarter of 2017. Our goal is to continue to offer highly successful American systems as well as a broader selection of Euro platforms, allowing our customers to capture more market share. Klaus Knops, who recently joined the South American VEKA team, will assume the market responsibility for Latin America working with the existing sales team.
Andreas Hartleif, VEKA AG Group Chairman, comments: “We are excited to continue to invest in the Americas based on our strength and the potential of increased market share.” The global family owned leader in the extrusion of vinyl fenestration systems employs over 900 employees in the region. He adds, “In the Americas and worldwide, our customers recognize VEKA as a reliable, long-term partner that becomes an integral part of their success.”
