News presented by TUROMAS: State of the Art Machinery
At Glasstec, TUROMAS presented the main technologies for smart storage, loading and automatic glass cutting as well as the new software suite. All this, through live demonstrations and customised for each customer creating a unique and close experience with each of them.
LR-07: automatic glass loader that incorporates a revolutionary and patented TUROMAS arc loading system that significantly increases production compared to conventional loaders. It is capable of working simultaneously with standard or Jumbo glass of variable heights, with all types of low-emission layers and thicknesses from 1.8 mm to 25 mm.
It is configured to integrate with the SG – SaveGlass intelligent remnant storage systems by incorporating a grid that facilitates the 90° entry and exit of remnants from the SG. All components that come into contact with the glass have been carefully selected to avoid any damage to the under-emissive layers. They are robust, reliable and modular machines that have been designed with the latest technologies to work autonomously for both standard and jumbo sized sheets.
SG-06: SaveGlass TUROMAS allows you to store remnants without the risk of damage, knowing their exact location, measurements and type of glass for later use in optimisations. It can work independently or integrated in any TUROMAS automatic storage system (SR or LA). It has a design that allows sizing and customising the solution to the customer’s needs and available space.
RUBI 517C: high production cutting line for monolithic glass. Driven by magnetic linear motor technology, a technology pioneered and introduced by TUROMAS almost 20 years ago, this table offers outstanding performance: maximum speed of 310 m/min and, most importantly, an acceleration of 19 m/s2. It is equipped with the exclusive 4-Tool system, a system with 4 independent cutting tools specifically dimensioned to achieve a perfect cut on any thickness of glass without the need for any adjustment by the operator.
The machine on display at Glasstec was equipped with the ACR advanced stripping system, also exclusive of the brand, prepared to remove in a single pass both the Low-E coatings and the plastic protections of TPF glass or the EasyPro® glass coating. It incorporates patented innovations that improve the glass stripping process, such as the advanced cooling system or the two-stage stripping system that prevents the edges of the protective layer from peeling off. In addition, the equipment includes a high-flow three-phase hoover for the collection of residues, thus eliminating them completely from the surface.
Additionally, the table is equipped with the laser marking system for the identification and traceability of each glass piece and scrap, which is installed on the cutting bridge to increase the overall performance of the machine while maintaining compact overall dimensions. Designed to deliver high-speed marking with exceptional print quality, the TUROMAS laser marking system can handle virtually any material with precision and efficiency. It supports engraving areas up to 100×100 mm, allowing for versatile, sharp marking that meets the highest industry standards.
LAM 405: high production cutting line for laminated glass. The LAM 405 is aimed at companies looking for a versatile, automatic machine and top quality cutting in thicknesses from 2+2 to 10+10. Compactly designed, it has a useful cutting length of 4.7 m and a useful system length of 3.3 m. Turomas implements in this range its new cutting and separation system which reduces the cycle time of each cut by 10 seconds and allows cutting with the butyral slightly heated to improve the final result.
The measuring trolley has been specially designed so that, together with a loading table equipped with MCC belts, the process of loading, positioning, cutting and unloading the glass is fully automated. This system optimises the efficiency and precision of each cutting operation.
In addition, it includes an advanced positioning and cutting system for straight shapes and railings in laminated safety glass, consisting of two mechanical stops that allow agile and precise positioning, eliminating the need for additional tools and reducing cutting time.
In addition, TUROMAS set up a specific totem to present the available software applications, where visitors were able to interact and visualise the potential of the company’s digital solutions. Tools such as StockGlass, Cutting TV and SmartGlass were the protagonists, demonstrating how digitalisation and automation are revolutionising the flat glass industry.
