At the turn of the year there will be changes in the management team of Bohle AG, Haan. Sales director Bart de Vrijer will be retiring from operational management of the company effective October 31, 2008.

After having worked at the Phillips electronic company and at the Schott Group, Mainz, Germany, where he was employed for over 25 years, lastly as Division Director, Mr. de Vrijer came to Bohle early in 2006 and assumed responsibility primarily for developing a new strategic direction for sales. In future, he will continue to support the Bohle Group as a consultant.

His successor will be Dipl. Ing. Christoph Schmidt, who will have overall sales responsibility for the Bohle Group starting November 1, 2008. During his studies in mechanical engineering at the Technical University in Aachen, Mr. Schmidt first gained experience in the area of glass grinding at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology. He spent a major portion of his professional life as Sales Manager and General Manager of a medium-sized company. Just like Bohle AG, this company develops, produces and sells technical products for diverse markets and fields of application. In addition to developing domestic sales structures, Christoph Schmidt also gained many years of international experience abroad. Among other things, he was responsible for setting up a sales office in the USA and an ultra-modern manufacturing site in Eastern Europe. One of his main tasks will be to further promote the worldwide presence of the Bohle name.

On January 1, 2009, the new structure of the management team will be completed by the appointment of Arne Klöfkorn to the Board of Directors of Bohle AG. Mr. Klöfkorn is a lawyer and attorney and has been with the Bohle Group since 2004, most recently as Commercial Director. He is also President of Bohle America, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina. His previous experience was gained at Audi, Mannesmann and a medium-sized automotive supplier. With Arne Klöfkorn, the company once again has a member of the Bohle family on the Board of Directors. Within the board, Mr. Klöfkorn will be responsible primarily for commercial-related concerns.

Together with Chairman of the Board Dr. Heinrich Ostendarp, he constitutes the newly established Board of Directors of Bohle AG. The expanded team of managers in General Management includes Ralf Ackermann as before and now, in addition, Christoph Schmidt and Bernd Neumann.

The goal of the new executive team is to expand the Bohle Group and to steadily develop the proven concept of supplier of quality products and solutions especially for glass processors. At the same time, with new technologies, the company will increasingly open itself to industrial customers.

This is Bohle.

The Bohle Group is Europe's leading manufacturer and supplier of tools, machines and accessories for glass processing and finishing. The family business, founded in 1923, is now represented by over 300 employees at fourteen locations in Germany and abroad. Divided into the product divisions Handling, Glass Cutting (manual and automatic), Glass Bonding, Glazing, Tools, Machinery, Fittings and Surface Technology, the total product range is precisely tailored to the respective customer groups from trade, industry and retail. Quality is the leading principle at Bohle – in every area. To live up to this standard, the company develops and manufactures many products themselves. A modern logistics centre quickly dispatches the ordered goods to the customer.
