Saint-Gobain Glass adds more member benefits

Date: 11 December 2012

Saint-Gobain Glass UK Ltd has launched a number of new initiatives and improvements for members of its PLANITHERM Network as the award-winning TV campaign is confirmed to run throughout 2013.

These include an advanced online marketing materials design and print portal; free online training; and upgraded web pages for PLANITHERM Network members.

The next advertisements are scheduled for the traditionally busy season immediately after Christmas. This will prompt even more consumers to search for PLANITHERM Installers and continue to boost sales for replacement windows and conservatories fitted with PLANITHERM glass.

Free and Simple Online Marketing Materials Design

In preparation for the New Year push an online portal has been created allowing PLANITHERM Network members to design a range of professional, customisable marketing materials to support their sales and marketing activities and to take advantage of the advertising.

With bespoke or customisable designs that complement the PLANITHERM consumer TV and press advertising campaigns, members can produce a range of exclusive flyers, posters, invitations, door drop cards, advertisements and business stationery using an intuitive system that promises professional results within a few minutes. Use of the system is free of charge to Network members, who include window and door manufacturers and installers.

The materials can be printed at highly competitive preferential rates with Saint-Gobain Glass even offering a £100 voucher towards the first order.

Free 30-Minute Online Training

A series of free online training modules have been developed with PLANITHERM Network member companies’ staff in mind, devised to provide knowledge in easy bites without disrupting their daily schedule. The first module is on Energy Efficient Glass and the second, to be released early next year, covers triple glazing.

The intention is for the 30-minute sessions to give staff the knowledge on a range of key subjects and to provide them with the confidence to deal with these issues when asked by customers. Additionally PLANITHERM Network members with training accreditations completed through the PLANITHERM web site will appear ahead of those without in the Find an Installer search facility on the PLANITHERM website.

Upgraded Web Pages

The search patterns used by consumers when browsing the PLANITHERM web site have been analysed by researchers who found that consumers are drawn to installers with logos and more complete profiles. Of the top 100 viewed profiles on the PLANITHERM ‘Find an Installer’ facility 85% have either a logo or description or both added.

Subsequently, a number of improvements have been made to ensure that web profile pages for all members are even more informative and impactful.

With more than 32,000 visitor searches of the PLANITHERM consumer web site last year the company believes it is even more important that members stand out to maximise the opportunities to generate sales leads. All members can now optimize their pages on the site including customer comments and experiences.

New Members Welcome

Window and conservatory manufacturers and installers that can comply with the membership criteria and show a commitment to selling and marketing PLANITHERM products are always welcome to apply for membership of the PLANITHERM Network. Craig Dodsworth, Residential Market Manager for Saint-Gobain Glass UK says there has never been a better time: “The PLANITHERM Network has been designed to provide real benefits and support for companies that can demonstrate a commitment to the product. Our new benefits are very tangible and designed to make a very real difference to our members.”
