Readers of Door and Window Market magazine (DWM), a business-to-business publication that’s devoted exclusively to the coverage of the door and window industries, recently weighed in, voting Roto Patio Inowa a top choice among door and window hardware. As a result, the product was awarded with one of the magazine’s prestigious Readers’ Choice Awards in the category of patio door hardware.
Designed for rolling, patio-style doors and windows, Inowa, which stands for “Impermeable: No Water, No Air,” enhances the overall performance and functionality of a sliding patio door, while providing high levels of thermal performance. The award stems from a digital survey, sent out to all of the magazine’s readers via social media and email, soliciting their input on products across 22 categories. Inowa’s features drew it more votes than any other product in its respective category.
“Each fall, we gather all of the products included in the magazine over the course of the year and ask our readers to weigh in on them,” says Tara Taffera, DWM’s editorial director and publisher. “We spent a lot of time exploring hardware for rolling doors and windows in 2018, and our readers felt that Inowa was the most significant we wrote about.”
Inowa includes a continuous gasket system for placement around operable sashes, along with concealed lock points—including in the mullion area where sashes come together. Company officials say the design enhances the overall performance and functionality of a sliding patio door, while providing high levels of thermal performance.
“We’re so honored that DWM’s readers chose Inowa as their top selection among patio door hardware,” says Chris Dimou, Roto North America’s President & CEO. “Our hardware is designed around efficiency, security, comfort and design, and this product achieves all of those marks.”
With concealed technology, the product’s design also allows for narrow, straight-line profiles in a modern, aesthetically pleasing design, Roto officials suggest. The product’s 2018 Readers’ Choice Award was featured in DWM’s December-January-February edition.
