For Ritec International, this year’s Vitrum represents the third time the company’s innovative ClearShield system will have been exhibited by its Italian and Croatian distributor, Advanced Surface Technology (AST).

The AST stand is its largest to date as the company will be promoting its name change last year from L’Arcobaleno which reflects the new focus of their business this year. With the theme ‘Clean Living’ running throughout the stand, AST will emphasise the specialist aspect of the company together with the versatility of the ClearShield system in terms of renovation, protection and maintenance as well as application both in the factory and on site.Particular focus will be given to the development of an agent network to assist in reaching small to medium sized processors across Italy and improving the service to them. The exhibition also provides the opportunity to promote the Protect range as well as present new training videos for sandblasters.

The concept of ‘clean living’, which Ritec is keen to promote, is not just about looking clean but also staying clean. “Regardless of the environment, people feel safer and happier in a bright, clean and hygienic environment. ClearShield goes some way to achieving this by ensuring glass looks pristine for longer, is always easy to clean and reduces cleaning frequency, on average by 50%,” comments Stephen Byers, Ritec’s Managing Director.

ClearShield is widely used with great success on different applications around the world, from glass shower enclosures to skyscraper curtain walling. Applications include decorative glass, residential glazing such as conservatory roofs, and architectural glazing. With its customers mainly in the shower enclosure market, this year AST will be strengthening their lead in this sector as well as focusing its activities on attracting business from the smaller processors and sandblasters via its new agents. Its next objective will be to penetrate the architectural glazing sector.

“Vitrum is a very important show for us as its attracts many visitors from the Middle East and other European countries, giving us a great platform from which to boost market penetration and build new business relationships as well as consolidate those with our existing distribution network,” says Stephen.

Both the AST and Ritec teams will be on hand throughout the show to explain the latest developments in the application of ClearShield and discuss the exciting opportunities in joining the new distributor network.
