The PipeKnife® Company (www.pipeknife.com), manufacturer of the Original PipeKnife® cutout knife has purchased the REID autoglass tool line from White River Knife and Tool (www.thewhiteriver.com) effective September 1, 2012.

"Arial">REID has manufactured quality USA made knives, blades and accessories for the auto glass replacement (AGR)technician since the early 1960’s, when Harry Cothery invented the first cold knife cutout tool. The PipeKnife® Company has been producing the Original PipeKnife® cutout knife and other specialty tools for the same market since 1987. The combination of both lines will provide an extensive selection to the combined customer base while streamlining order entry, fulfillment and customer service.

The PipeKnife® Company will now be one of the largest USA manufactured suppliers of cold knife tools, cutout knifes, blades and accessories and will offer over 250 items manufactured specifically for the AGR technician.

In addition to the purchase of the REID tool line, The PipeKnife® Company and White River Knife & Tool will continue their strategic relationship. Manufacturing of the REID line will continue at White River’s ISO 9001 manufacturing facility ensuring the continuation of the high quality REID line. In addition, the two companies will work closely with the current customer base to manufacture other AGR related tools in the USA which are now made offshore.

The PipeKnife® Company will assume order entry, shipping and customer support on September 1, 2012 and anticipates a seamless transition.
