Pilkington: GIMA AGR Business Joins Automotive Europe

Pilkington Automotive has purchased the GIMA aftermarket business, operating in Hungary and Romania. With 200 people across 21 locations in Romania and five locations in Hungary, GIMA will operate as part of the Aftermarket Europe business of Pilkington Automotive.

GIMA is one of the most significant trading businesses in AGR in Eastern Europe and the acquisition will give Pilkington Automotive a major share of the aftermarket business in Hungary and Romania.It complements the existing AGR network in Europe and provides the basis for substantial growth.





From the existing management team, Peter Takács Jr. assumes full responsibility for the GIMA business in his new role as General Manager – Hungary & Romania.



Peter will report to Tony Fradgley – Director, AGR European Region. The integration of the GIMA business will be led by Holger Ebert – Director of Operations, Aftermarket Europe
