Why maintain a glass grinding machine
Routine maintenance is important to preserve the machine's good working condition and to prevent and reduce any more important interventions by a specialised technician.
Even in case of extraordinary intervention, a clean machine drastically reduces the specialist's working time and therefore minimises downtime.
How often to carry out routine maintenance
The frequency depends on the part being serviced: if it is recommended weekly for tanks, it can be carried out every two or three weeks in the case of polishing spindles.
Replacing worn parts during machine maintenance
Usually, during routine maintenance, the parts that are replaced because they are worn out are:
- Brushes
- Water seal rubbers
- Pipes
- Belts
- Polishing wheels
Replacement parts kit for maintenance
When you purchase one of our glass machines, you will also receive a tool kit for routine replacement of worn parts, which contains, for example, the appropriate spanners for disassembling wheels, as well as the procedures to follow (instruction manual).
