Date: 21 March 2013

Windscreen replacement specialist, National Windscreens, continues to buck the market trend, announcing a further 6% increase in annual turnover following its record breaking growth in market share the previous year.

The company’s continued expansion is evidence of its intention of being the clear market leader in the UK automotive glazing sector and is the result of a series of high profile account wins in the insurance and fleet sectors, supported by a continual increase in individual motorists choosing the company to undertake windscreen repairs.National Windscreens is already the largest independent glass repair and replacement specialist in the UK and is growing fast in its current position as the second largest overall in this sector.

The independently owned company, whose Head Office is in Tamworth, operates the UK’s largest branch network and has ambitious plans for the future. Its strategic business development plan includes actively developing partnerships with insurance providers and fleet operators and this strategy is paying dividends.

Commercial Director, Pete Marsden, reports, “National Windscreens is targeting growth in a number of key areas. We offer dedicated services for insurance providers and fleet operators and our commitment to these sectors was rewarded with some substantial contracts in 2012, including being named preferred supplier by Tesco Underwriting, a two year contract renewal from Northgate Vehicle Hire and numerous others.”

National Windscreens underwent a number of changes in 2012 including the introduction of a new corporate identity to accurately reflect the company’s strength in the marketplace. As one of the UK’s leading providers of windscreen repair and replacement services, National Windscreens also offers comprehensive coverage across Europe thanks to its membership of the Automotive Glass Professionals network.

Pete Marsden continues, “National Windscreens has consolidated its position and will continue to build on the company’s firm foundations to ensure its growth throughout 2013 and beyond.

“A number of factors have contributed to the increased turnover; we work in partnership with some of the UK’s leading insurance providers and fleet operators to offer a superior service to their clients, we ensure our staff our equipped with the skills and materials needed to complete jobs correctly and to the highest standards, and we continually assess our performance and make improvements whenever necessary.”
