Their strength as an independent glass and glazing company has grown year on year, and they are looking forward to continued growth for years to come.

Two recent projects completed by LDG contracts featured Guardian’s popular ClimaGuard A+ Low E glass. Which Lancashire Double Glazing have been using for some time, as they have found it to be  the most durable and reliable Low E glass available on the market today.

An impressive student accommodation block in the heart of Manchester, Ducie Court features 246 bedrooms with en-suite.  The first phase of the project has already been completed by LDG Contracts using Guardian ClimaGuard A+ and LamiGlass.  The glazing specification varied around the project and meets the requirements of Secure by Design (SBD) on the ground floor.  LDG are pleased to announce they have now secured the second phase of this project, which includes a further 368 bedrooms and will be completed by mid-summer 2013, in time for the new academic year.

Blackpool’s Southpoint

A flagship project in Blackpool, Southpoint is one of the most striking projects LDG Contracts have completed in recent years.  Formerly known as “My Place”, the Southpoint project was designed to create opportunities for young people in an area of Blackpool which otherwise offers little opportunity.  Southpoint offers leisure and educational activities to youths aged 13 - 19, helping to revive the community in this area. The building uses a very contemporary design to open the facility up and provides light and space through large glazed areas, LDG Contracts installed their Technical FXI aluminium windows, using Guardian ClimaGuard A+ and LamiGlass, as well as MX visible grid framing for the curtain walled pod.  This is a truly iconic building for LDG Contracts and one they are proud to have contributed too.
