Largest On-line Low E Glass Production Facility Commissioned

On October 16, 2009, Hebei Yingxin Glass Group (HYGG) in Shahe City, Hebei Province, announced the official commercial operation of the largest on-line Low E glass production line in China with the capability to produce more than 7 million sq. meters of pyrolytic coated glass products.

With a total investment of $100M USD, this key project construction project in Hebei province utilizes Stewart Engineers advanced on-line glass coating technology.  Stewart Engineers and our industrial partners are currently working with HYGG on the commissioning and start-up of a second on-line Low E glass production line.At the same time, HYGG held a ground breaking ceremony for a new 10 MW thin film solar cell project utilizing amorphous silicon technology developed by HYGG and Wuhan University of Technology in which Andrew Stewart, President of Stewart Engineers, was invited to speak about emerging pyrolytic coatings markets and participate in the ground breaking (see figures below).  By 2015, a total investment of $430M USD is projected for an ultimate capacity of 320 MW.  Stewart Engineers looks forward to working with HYGG on this important green energy project.  Figure 1: Low E and Thin Film Solar Project Ceremony
