Joiners can benefit from a fully certified system of timber windows and doors thanks to testing done by The Joinery Network.

The co-operative, which has been set up to help joinery companies manufacture superior, fully certified windows and door, has successfully tested a range of timber products against a selection of tests to meet regulations.

Vertical sliding box sash windows, vertical sliding spiral balance, top & side swing flush casement and storm-proof windows, entrance doors, (including low thresholds), French doors, Single doors, (including in & out opening), and bifold doors have all passed tests for PAS 24:2016 and Document Q for security, BS 6375: 1 and Document L1B for weathertightness and energy efficiency, and Document M for accessibility.

O T Dare Joinery Consultant, Owen Dare, and one of the founder directors at The Joinery Network, says: “We’ve tested a comprehensive range of timber products against all of the necessary tests for Building Regulations compliance so that joiners can offer a suited range of certified windows and doors.

“Joiners can choose what they need, getting licences for each product, against each test result and cascading the data to use as their own. This means that that both big and small joiners, offering a full or selective range, can comply with regulations and won’t have to worry about falling foul of the law.

“They also don’t have the hassle of spending upwards of £80,000 into testing themselves as The Joinery Network has already made that investment. It’s an easy way for joiners to show that their products comply with Building Regulations and win more sales.”

The Joinery Network was created to support joiners looking to grow their business by getting into the new build market. The founders, BJ Waller, Balls2 Marketing, Close Brothers, DJH Group Ltd, Fiscale, Leitz Tooling UK, and OT Dare Joinery Consultants, offer expertise through every step of the supply chain and are on hand to offer advice.

“We’re really pleased that every product passed each test and we’re glad to play a part in supporting the timber industry and back UK manufacturers providing superior, high quality timber window and doors,” adds Owen.
