HORN Glass Industries AG has been awarded the official title of "Ambassador for Family-friendliness" in 2017, through the ‘Alliance for Family’ in the district of Tirschenreuth. Mr. Wolfgang Lang, Director Commercial, Business Unit, travelled to Mitterteich personally on 25th January 2017 to receive the certificate and the seal.
The ‘Alliance for Family in the District of Tirschenreuth’ was established in the middle of 2004 and is an association of different social groups, institutions and facilities.
The aim of the association is to support families and children to fulfill their needs in the county by means of giving them a higher priority in everyday working life.
According to District Councilor Wolfgang Lippert, family-friendly employers distinguish themselves not only by flexible offers and models for employees, but also by appropriate company – and management culture as well as the necessary communication within the company. Regarding these points HORN Glass Industries AG is especially proud to receive this award.
By means of flexible working time models, e.g. flexi time or the compensation of overtime in leisure time, we promote the work-life balance of our employees.
As general health is also very important to us we offer exercises at our workplace and have also planted apple trees at our company premises in order to stay fit and support our environment.
Through the support of family and career with e.g. training measures for part-time workers as well as employment during parental leave, we seek to offer the people of Plößberg and the region a family-friendly togetherness.
