A new end fired glass melting furnace will soon be built for Sichuan Skyhorse Glass Co., Ltd by HORN.

For its new container glass factory in Shehong city, the famous Chinese container glass manufacturer Sichuan Skyhorse chose glass melting technology specialist HORN for engineering, delivery, installation and start-up of the entire production plant.

The new sustainable glass melting furnace is designed with six forehearths for the production of container glass. In appliance of the latest low-CO2 glass melting technology, the furnace will have a melting area of 101 m² to produce super flint glass. Heating of the furnace will be effected by means of Natural Gas.

HORN’s scope of supply includes the engineering of the refractory and steel structure, the Combustion System, Measuring and Control Equipment, a new HORN HVR® 400F batch charger, supervision of erection, heat-up and commissioning.

Under the construction supervision of HORN together with its subsidiary company HORN Glass Technology (Beijing) Co., the new end fired furnace will be commissioned in the third quarter of 2025.
