At BAU 2017, GEZE will be presenting new and innovative products and system solutions that turn buildings into true 'Smart Buildings'.

In addition to the GEZE interface solutions for integrating products and systems in communication standards for home and building system technology (KNX and BACnet), one of the trade fair highlights will be a modern solution for monitoring and controlling building automation.

Furthermore, visitors will be impressed with innovations from the areas of automatic door systems, door technology and services.

Professional Solutions: smart, secure and efficient control of building technology

For the purpose of intelligent building networking, GEZE will present a completely new control unit for the connection between products and solutions and the communication standard BACnet.

In this way, GEZE products from the areas of automatic door systems, window technology and smoke and heat extraction (RWA) as well as safety technology can be controlled centrally, e.g. via a tablet or smartphone.

Via the GEZE IO 420 interface module, GEZE elements can be integrated into network solutions with BACnet, and network with each other via BACnet MS/TP.

One example is a multifunctional system solution with the Powerturn swing door drive for exceptionally large, heavy doors combined with the IQ lock AUT electronic motor lock, the TZ 320 emergency door control unit and the FTV 320 escape door lock.

In the area of window technology, the IQ box KNX interface module enables controlled, natural ventilation plus direct integration of the GEZE IQ windowdrives into KNX building systems.

In contrast to simple switch contacts, the IQ box KNX uses the intelligence of the window drives and reports information such as opening width or disruptions to the building management system.

Of course additional sensors, e. g. for measuring air quality, rain, wind and window protection, can be integrated in these system solutions under KNX.

GEZE will present a new version of the GEZE ActiveStop door damper in Munich. It can stop doors gently, close them quietly, or keep them open with ease.

It also fits into virtually any standard door and can be set in an instant. The option of retrofitting also plays an important role.

But also in the area of entrance doors, visitors will be impressed by a new, automated 'solutions package' – including easy integration into an existing Smart Home system.

Service Solutions: the right solution for every need

Whether it's in the form of quick installation or practical planning assistance – GEZE specialises in providing customised services.

The focus in this field is on overall support for building management systems within a project – ranging from installation, maintenance and repair to the modernisation of existing systems.

At BAU 2017, GEZE will present extended configuration options and new software solutions which even in the design phase promise convenient and secure planning.

In the context of the much-discussed topic of 'BIM – Building Information Modelling', visitors can look forward to some exciting innovations.
