Diamon-Fusion International, Inc. (DFI Nanotechnology), global developer and exclusive licensor of Diamon-Fusion® patented hydrophobic nanotechnology coatings, has reached a strategic alliance agreement with Oben USA Inc.

Oben® has a similar type of marketing agreement with GROHE America Inc, one of the world’s leaders in bathroom faucets, and has now selected DFI’s surface protective nanocoating Diamon-Fusion® as its standard feature for Oben® Glide Glass™. Glide Glass is a registered TM of Oben USA Inc.

Oben® is a modern-day pioneer of Curved glass shower systems and hydro-massage technology; its founders have been passionate about creating endless expressions of innovation and design for the perfect bathroom for over 80 years. Oben’s association and co-operation with Grohe and DFI will ensure unsurpassed quality and functionality on Oben’s premiere products, Oben officials reported. Oben® will be releasing its new range of “Frameless Curved Glass Showers” at the upcoming NGA GlassBuild America trade show in Atlanta - Booth # 427. DFI will be also an Exhibitor and Sponsor at GlassBuild, see them in Booth # 242.

Derek Englefield, President of Oben USA, Inc., reported: "We went through a severe screening process before selecting Diamon-Fusion as our preferred coating; DFI not only provides a proven record, both national and international, but also has branding recognition value along with an excellent reputation in the marketplace, an invaluable element in our decision making process.”

Guillermo Seta, Vice President and Executive Director of DFI Global Operations, added: "Oben provides a new avenue in our marketing for the US market; they bring over 80 years of design expertise and a very innovative product. Our co-branding with Oben sets the tone for a new era of functional shower door designs.”

DFI’s nanocoating supplies a full range of enhanced hydrophobic properties to the treated glass surface along with an anti-microbial property by inhibiting or decreasing the growth of mold and bacteria on the treated surface, creating a healthier environment to live in. DFI nanotechnology multi-functional characteristics include: water and oil repellency (hydrophobic and oleophobic,), impact and scratch resistance, protection against graffiti, dirt and stains, finger print protection, UV stability, additional electrical insulation, protection against calcium and sodium deposits and increased brilliance and lubricity. DFI’s nanocoating, a patented process, works at nanoscale levels to change the molecular composition of any silica-based surface. Diamon-Fusion® provides a cross-linked, branched, and ‘capped’ nanofilm along with a strong and durable covalent bond.
