ClearPlex® and Madico® come together to deliver the best products and services to the windshield protection and surface protection markets worldwide

Madico® Inc., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of automotive, solar, safety and security films, announced today it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire select assets of ClearPlex® Corporation (www.clearplex.com), an established supplier of protection films based in Draper, UT.

ClearPlex markets and distributes optically-clear, patent pending glass protection films and related products for use in the transportation and electronic markets throughout the world. ClearPlex provides an economically sound solution to the problems of glass damage, replacement, integrity and safety.

"Although Madico has been the production partner for ClearPlex for the past 10 years, we are very pleased to welcome ClearPlex employees and customers to directly work with Madico. ClearPlex has done excellent work in developing the application of clear film to protect windshields and other windows on automobiles, trucks, and construction equipment.” said Jeffrey Plummer, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Madico.

“They have also created a premium brand and established themselves as leaders in this segment.”

The agreement combines the strengths of Madico and ClearPlex, by leveraging Madico’s global network and resources with ClearPlex’s product and application expertise. According to Plummer, “We see this as a perfect and natural fit and are very pleased that our close business relationship has brought us to this point”.
