"The office has previously had extensive problems with dazzling sun and high heat irradiation. A lot of cooling has been needed to lower the temperature, which required a lot of energy. With ChromoGenics’ energy-efficient technology, cooling needs have decreased and the indoor climate has become much more comfortable since the windows were installed. The tenants are satisfied and that makes med glad too," said Bo Saldeen, CEO of Saldeen Real Estate.
Bo Saldeen previously considered investing in a larger cooling system and exterior solar protection, but the options were discarded due to that maintenance costs for awnings and similar solutions are often high, they change the appearance of the façades and daylight is deprived.
“We have improved our working environment with a more comfortable climate and the dazzling sun rays are no longer a problem. In addition, we get the daylight people need and there is no longer need for curtains that shut the daylight out," says Fredrik Larsson, COO at VHD-Media, whose office is in the property.
“Satisfied tenants are important to all property owners and we are pleased that our dynamic glass can contribute to it, while reducing environmental impact through lower energy consumption. Sustainability is high on the agenda for all property owners,” says Thomas Almesjö, CEO of ChromoGenics.
“The order shows a need for property owners to upgrade their existing properties with energy efficient solutions. It is possible to save a lot of energy in existing properties and premises, thereby lowering carbon dioxide emissions," concludes Thomas Almesjö.
ChromoGenics’ dynamic glass automatically controls heat and light emitting on premises, providing better indoor comfort and lower energy consumption. The cooling need of premises can be reduced by 20-40 percent.
