Bumper May for Balcony Systems as sales rise 30%

Date: 15 June 2012

Balcony Systems has reported a 30% sales increase for May 2012 compared to the same month last year.

Overall, sales were up by 20% for the first five months of this year compared to the same period in 2011.

Exhibiting at the recent Grand Designs Live show in London attracted much attention from architects, developers and private homeowners which helped lift May sales, according to the company - one of the UK’s leading glass balustrading, Juliet balcony and curved patio door specialists.

“May 2012 sales were positively impacted by Grand Designs Live where we experienced a great deal of interest from visitors across our entire product range,” explained Managing Director Effi Wolff. “They recognise the quality, versatility and affordability of Balcony’s products, as well as their ability to transform properties and add value.

“These leads were quickly turned into orders following the show, as trends show that people are still keen to invest in their homes and improve what they have, rather than move house. That’s why we’re experiencing a lot of interest in our balustrading, for both newbuild projects and refurbishment schemes.”

Balcony’s unique self-cleaning glass coating is now virtually a standard item on all orders and this has been another major reason for the continued growth in sales – up 20% from January to May this year compared to 2011.

“This double-sided coating works by repelling water faster to keep the glass looking cleaner for longer and reduces cleaning cycles by up to 90%,” continued Effi. “This greatly increases the low-maintenance benefits of our all our products and is hugely popular, while also contributing to our uplift in business so far this year.”

He added: “We’re seeing growing demand from builders and developers, along with renewed confidence returning to the market and larger projects getting underway. Having made an encouraging start to 2012, we’re predicting another positive year!”
