ZIPPE installs latest Batch&Cullet Preheater

Date: 6 October 2010

Company ZIPPE Industrieanlagen GmbH has recently installed a new batch & cullet preheater at a container glass furnace of a major bottle producer in Europe.

The preheater was retrofitted into an existing furnace situation during production and has a capacity of approximately 350tons.

The system, which is installed in the Netherlands, is designed for the full capacity and supplies one doghouse with preheated batch & cullet. The system was commissioned in July 2010, is running successfully and shows significant energy savings. After several installations in the 1980ies and 1990ies, this preheater now represents the latest installation in the glass industry.

By this, company Zippe, an experienced pioneer in this technology, contributes significantly to a sustainable and energy efficient glass production
