Windsor Windows & Doors, a leading brand of residential windows and patio doors, has announced plans to build a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Norwalk, Iowa.

The planned 160,000 square-foot facility will house the production of windows and patio doors. Construction is scheduled to begin in July 2017.

According to Mark Rieser, President, Windsor Windows & Doors, “This is an exciting investment in Windsor’s future. With our Norwalk location, we are building upon Windsor’s Iowa roots and fulfilling our commitment to our customers. This new facility will help Windsor keep up with growing demand and allow us to expand production.”

Windsor’s new facility will be located on 27 acres of land in Norwalk, in Warren County, just south of Des Moines. The additional property will accommodate future expansion for the company.

“We’re also looking forward to being able to create new job opportunities for hard-working Iowans and contribute to our state’s economy,” said Rieser. Windsor’s Norwalk site was selected as a part of the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s (IEDA) “Certified Sites” program, which means it is designated as “development-ready.”

The new Norwalk, Iowa, location will be Windsor’s fourth manufacturing facility in the U.S. Windsor currently operates two other manufacturing facilities in West Des Moines, Iowa, and one in Monroe, North Carolina.
