Window Ware becomes a distribution partner for Avantis Hardware Ltd.

Window Ware and Avantis Hardware have partnered together to solve common fabricator and installer problems with high performance hardware and almost 60 years combined industry experience.

As one of the UK’s largest suppliers of window and door hardware, tools and consumables, we're excited to announce we've become the exclusive distributor in England for Avantis products. This will give fabricators and installers across the nation access to the Avantis range of Secured by Design multipoint door locks for use on both PVCu and composite doors.

This will also include their new set-for-smart Kubu door lock which will be showcased at this year’s FIT Show and will be ready for wide-spread distribution later this year. Avantis Hardware Ltd has been pushing boundaries and meeting hardware needs with high levels of design, technical know-how and industry experience since the company was set up by Mark Bromley in 2006.

Commenting on this new and exciting partnership, Sam Nuckey, Window Ware’s managing director explains, “We have been working incredibly hard over the past few years to reposition ourselves as a multi-brand distributor, renowned for offering high levels of customer service and excellent product know-how. Our customer focus now, and for the future, is to ensure we provide both value and choice to fabricators, and Avantis hardware will help us deliver on our goals. We look forward to working with their team for a long and mutually successful partnership.”

Formidable levels of door defense

Joining the extensive Window Ware range is the Avantis series of multi-point door locks which boast large opposing chamfered security hooks, as well as a market-leading triangulated 25mm deep throw centre deadbolt. These features combine to offer enhanced security and give excellent compression on both PVCu and composite door applications. Also available is their ‘Twin-fix’ cylinder guard which offers a cost-effective route through PAS24 testing.

There are three multi-point locking systems available: the Avantis 550 & 650 series locks, designed to offer a complete solution for PVCu doors. These are complimented by the Avantis 750 series door lock, which works on both timber and composite doors. All three locks are tested to PAS 24 and British Standard BS6375, Secured by Design accredited, corrosion-resistant to EN1670: Grade 4 and promise a service life of over 50,000 cycles with a 10-year mechanical guarantee.

Ready to get smart about door locks?

As well as traditional mechanical locks, Window Ware will also become the place to source cutting-edge Kubu locks which aim to bring smart hardware to the masses – simply and affordably – even for fabricators who manufacture hundreds of doors per week!

Once fitted, every Kubu-equipped door lock is effectively ‘set for smart’. That means, a homeowner can independently purchase a Kubu Home Hub and Module, download the Kubu Smart App and be able to activate smart capability for up to four Kubu-equipped doors, allowing them to check lock status, track access and receive real-time notifications. It’s as simple as that!

What’s more, this product-differentiating smart lock adds no complexity for the fabricator; Kubu locks are fitted into a machined routing prep during production and are battery operated so there’s no hardwiring required on installation. The system works seamless with existing WIFI and the app is available on both Android and Apple platforms. It’s also possible to pair the Kubu smart hardware with Amazon Alexa and then actually ask if the door is locked!

Avantis will be introducing the widely-anticipated Kubu at this year’s FIT Show, thereby officially launching the product to UK door manufacturers.

Window Ware’s commercial director, Richard Bryant is excited about working with our newest brand partner. He insists, “Avantis is ahead of the game with their powerhouse multi-point door locks and their accessible set-for-smart hardware solution. These products are perfectly aligned with the direction the door and window market is moving – with a focus on high-security as standard, ease of fabrication, trouble-free usage and geared up for today’s tech-savvy, always-online society.”
