One of them in February was "Public tenders – advantages through RAL Quality Marks". The next one on the Green Deal will take place on 7 April with the participation of the GKFP.
In addition to competitive advantages, reliable orientation for consumers and contracting authorities as well as the possibility to quickly adapting the RAL Quality and Test Specifications to market requirements, the Quality Mark offers a whole range of further advantages. In particular, quality features that go beyond legal and normative requirements, in combination with the constant and neutral monitoring of (pre-)products, sectors or services, distinguish RAL Quality Assurance, Lisa Balke from RAL emphasized during the webinar.
Her colleague Joachim Hauser pointed out that RAL Quality Marks make it easier for authorities and companies to issue tenders because the contracting authorities do not have to carry out a detailed examination of bids and the companies do not have to provide detailed proof of the suitability of the bidders. In addition, one is legally on the safe side with the RAL Quality Assurance, Hauser continues. According to the Public Procurement Ordinance (VgV) §34, public contracting authorities can demand the quality mark.
Green Deal and RAL Quality Assurance
Furthermore, the webinar highlighted how the EU's Green Deal brings the RAL Quality Mark further into focus. The aim of the deal is to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. For this reason, public contracting authorities are obliged to consider environmental aspects or to give preference to environmentally friendly products. Therefore, RAL Quality Marks with sustainability and environmental criteria, such as our extended RAL Quality Mark PVC Window Profile Systems, have a competitive advantage.
