Updated News About China Glass 2007

The 18th China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition (China Glass 2007) will be staged at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre on 16-19, May 2007.

It is another grand gathering of global glass community. This exhibition, run by the Beijing Zhonggui Exhibition Co., Ltd, is organized by the Chinese Ceramic Society and co-organized by the Shanghai Ceramic Society.



The China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition has been approved by the Chinese Government and held every year alternately at Shanghai (in odd years) and Beijing (in even years). The exhibition is supported by all glass-related government departments and nationwide associations of China and has enjoyed a great reputation both in China and abroad.



China Glass 2006, held in Beijing in April last year covered an area of 35,000 m2 and 568 exhibitors came from 24 countries, of which 234 are foreign ones. Germany, Italy, the United States and Belgium had their State exhibitors groups at the show. The exhibition had more than 30,000 professional visitors, including over 1800 foreign ones. They came from 95 countries, not only all parts of China, but also the five continents in the world, especially in Asia. Therefore, this exhibition is oriented not only towards China’s market, but also towards the world, especially the rapidly developing Asian market.



Up to date, more than 680 companies have applied for participating in the exhibition. They come from 25 countries/regions: China (including the Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan region), Germany, Italy, the US, the UK, France, Belgium, Czech, Finland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Canada, Austria, Australia, Russia, Jordan, Israel, Japan, Korea, Singapore, India, Indonesia. There are more than 230 overseas exhibitors. Germany, Italy, the United States and Belgium will organize their State exhibitors groups to attend the show. The exhibition area reaches 46,000 m2 and it is the largest one compared with all the previous events. The Chinese International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition has become the largest one in Asia and also one of the three largest international glass exhibitions in the world.

China Glass 2007 involves great varieties of scopes and almost all aspects of glass industry, such as architectural and decoration glass, glass widows and doors, hardware fittings, industrial glass, glassware, glass containers, electronic glass, electric lighting glass, special glass, art glass products; glass-processing machinery, grinding material and tools; glass production instruments, equipment and automatic control systems; glass raw material, refractory and accessory material.



This event is not only an activity platform for the Chinese glass industry, but also a stage for the glass circles all over the world. Accompanied with the exhibition, the organizer of the Glass Processing Day (GPD) in Finland will hold GPD China 2007 in Shanghai just before the exhibition (14-15 May, 2007). The theme of the conference is “Production Process Efficiency and Quality  from Design to Construction”. The conference has two sessions: Practical and Processing Session; Architectural, Facade and Market Trends. Moreover, simultaneously with the show, there are 11 technical seminars, which are given by such famous companies as Siemens, Asahi, AGR from Germany, Japan, the US and the Netherlands.
