Unique Window Systems Ltd have been awarded a multi-million pound contract to design, supply and install for a build-to-rent scheme located in the heart of Birmingham.

Newhall Square will encompass a mix of leisure, commercial and residential use, including the construction of two new apartment blocks and refurbishment of an existing warehouse.

Plot 1 will consist of 79 apartments over six-storeys and an under-croft car park for 61 cars. Plot 2a, Newhall Street, will be a mixed-use development with 138 apartments, three commercial spaces and six townhouses, totalling 10 storeys. Plot 2b, Whitmore, will comprise four apartments.

Unique will be using Synseal’s WarmCore system for the project, offering great thermal performance and brilliant aesthetics and, in turn, suiting the city’s historic Jewellery Quarter. Sitting opposite the former Assay Office, this meant a contemporary design aesthetic was required for the build and something which the WarmCore system is designed for.

Newhall Square is situated just a few minutes’ walk away from Birmingham’s major transport links and commercial district and will help create an exciting and thriving place to both live and work.
