Switchable Glass | Bullet Proof | Smartglass International

Date: 6 December 2013

Privacy Smartglass, the switchable glass from Smartglass International, can be manufactured into bullet proof configurations.    Using specialised glazing, our switchable glass products can be transformed into high-spec bullet-proof panels, ideal for high-security locations such as banks.

The video below shows a .55 calibre rifle being shot at a panel of our Privacy Smartglass. It was recorded in slow-motion so you can see how the glass reacts. There is a lot of damage but, most importantly, the bullet has not penetrated the glass.
