Experience innovations, share visions of the future and network – with the companies in the Start-Up Zone of glasstec 2024.

In addition to major companies and household names from the glass industry, there are also more and more start-ups making inroads in the glasstec exhibition halls. The Start-Up Zone at glasstec 2024 reflects this development and offers young companies from throughout the world a platform to present trail-blazing technologies and creative solutions. 

From 22 October 2024 glasstec with over 1,250 exhibitors from 52 countries will open the doors of the exhibition halls in Düsseldorf for four days. This year the world-leading trade fair of the glass industry will again provide young companies with a platform – and it is growing! 2024 will, for the first time, see 16 (2022: 14) start-ups represented from different countries and sectors of the industry. With the Start-Up Zone in Hall 12 glasstec wants to support creative, up-and-coming companies and offer them a forum for presentation and networking with a high-calibre expert audience from all segments of the glass sector.

Trends @Start-Up Zone: innovative solutions and forward-looking technologies

The Start-Up Zone in Hall 12, Stand C81 provides insights into the latest technologies and most exciting innovations in the glass sector – developed by pioneering companies. Be it new materials, processes or techniques: the sky is the limit to the topics covered. The start-ups at glasstec enrich the ranges of the world-leading trade fair with new ideas.

Innovations include, amongst others, tailor-made digital solutions for business – also by App –, approaches for raw material and energy savings in surface finishing, practical and cost-efficient liquid glass coating solutions, cutting-edge laser technologies, microbial safety of interiors using antimicrobial glass, safety glass for construction applications, thermoprocess plants, robotics-based automation or custom-built machinery.

A platform with added value: speaking sessions, networking and business opportunities

To add: at the glasstec conference the start-ups receive their own speaking slots in the glass trends sessions. This way you, as interested visitors and exhibitors, can experience hands-on what the innovations are all about. 16 sessions in total will provide deep dives into various, relevant industry topics. For example:

Following the lectures interested parties can make direct contact, build networks and meet important decision-makers right on site. This gives visitors as well as exhibitors of glasstec 2024 the opportunity to directly network and discuss with the innovative masterminds of these projects. This makes it possible to swap ideas already in the early stages of promising concepts or to jointly drive already well-established projects.
