Starring Role for Sapphire’s Glide-On balconies in Elstree

Sapphire’s patent-protected system combines the benefits of manufacturing the balcony structure (Cassette®) offsite with fast-track installation using its own innovative connectors. Balconies are made ahead of time to each client’s specification and then moved to third party logistics hubs to ensure they are Ready and Right for just in time delivery.

Complete balconies for Isopad House, including decking, balustrades and soffits, were transported via steel pallets on trailers – with four balconies ‘nested’ onto each pallet to make transport more cost effective, safer and to maximise the utilisation of space while travelling. Once on site, balconies were offloaded, lifted into position and simply ‘sliding’ onto pre-erected supporting brackets, without installers having to fix them from underneath.
