Solutia Inc., the manufacturer of the Vanceva(TM) brand of advanced interlayer products for automotive glass, recently introduced a new Web-based tool that allows automotive designers to visualize Vanceva(TM) Color as part of their next concept or production design.

The Vanceva(TM) Color Studio is housed within the automotive section of the Vanceva.com website.

"We realized that in order for vehicle designers to truly appreciate the aesthetic benefits of Vanceva(TM) Color, they had to see the product applied in a way that they could relate," said Victoria Holt, Solutia vice president and general manager of its Performance Films business. "We developed the Color Studio for that purpose."

The Vanceva(TM) Color Studio allows users to select a vehicle type and a body color. Then, using more than 60 preset Traditional and Premium Palette colors, or user-created Custom colors, designers can select glass colors for the windshield, side, rear and roof windows. This allows designers to examine the various color configurations they may use in the design of concept and production vehicles. To access the Vanceva(TM) Color Studio, users simply log onto the automotive color section of the Vanceva website.

Vanceva(TM) Color for automotive capitalizes on the growing trend of using high performance auto glazing in vehicles, and allows more versatility than any other glazing component on the market. Further, it gives consumers greater flexibility to express individuality, while retaining the benefits of laminated glass. Unlike some other color offerings, Vanceva(TM) Color for automotive provides long lasting, durable performance confirmed through rigorous testing.

The Vanceva(TM) family of products represents Solutia's response to customer needs and ongoing market research. Vanceva(TM) products, offering superior benefits such as color, design and higher security, will be available through glass company partners that manufacture automotive glazing systems. Further benefit enhancements are currently in development. Information about Solutia's Vanceva(TM) brand is available at www.vanceva.com or call 1-248-740-0480.

Solutia Inc. (NYSE: SOI), an independent, publicly owned enterprise headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, has a major presence in both national and international markets. Solutia produces Saflex(R) and Vanceva(TM) brand polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers that are used to manufacture the laminated glass used in automotive, architectural and residential applications throughout the world, and is the sole supplier of PVB for aircraft -- the most demanding application. The company's other businesses include synthetic fibers, resins, aviation hydraulic fluids, high-performance specialty chemicals and other performance products.
